Changing Name....

When I set up this blog, I was seeking a new name looking for a sign of rebirth and resurrection. Phoenix, as suggested by the wonderful Evil Minx fit the bill perfectly but recently I have seen that there is another one who has been around a lot longer than me...

Given that I don't want to tread on anyone else's toes, I am now soliciting suggestions for new nicknames.. Most of you who regularly read this blog have a good idea of how I write and I need some new ideas.

Current thinking?
I am looking for a name which is sassy, strong but which doesn't typify the traditional attributes of women so Aphrodite, for example, would be out.
Panthergirl suggested Chrysalis which would certainly typify rebirth.
Any other ideas?

Brainstorming ideas for blogs that are catchy and about renewal and diverse person

Unwinding the cocoon
silkworm labour

Hundred Seed of Eve
Cleaning the Slate Daily

Don't know that duplicated names would be a problem. Anything itneresting there?

I don't know you well enough to suggest any yet. I keep a list of my own alternate blog names. I chose mine intentionally trying to fly under the radar. Now I find I'd like it to be punnier.

When you find yours, let's have a naming party over here. I love it when it gets rowdy in the comment boxes.

Ok... before suggesting any names I need to see what I'm doing... So in order to do this right, you will need to post a few nude photos so I can properly judge...

Dove? Blossom?

How about Artemis? She was certainly a strong individual and outspoken. There's lots of history behind that. Greek mythology really is the way to go when looking for a suitable blogger alias.

My suggestions for your glorious self:

Pandora - first woman created by Zeus, name means “all gifts” (of which you seem to have many).

Sphinx - Egyptian symbol of rebirth and resurrection.

Hathor - symbolized sexual excitement and rebirth.

Lotus - symbol of birth and rebirth.

And my personal favorite for you, especially as it is similar to the "old you":

Ostara - Germanic goddess of renewal.

Neoplatonists beleived that the cirlce was the ultimate-perfect form, and Chepri the god who was the symbolic symbol of the rising sun (Egyptian). So I live "Circular Chepri." Also, I think "Good Pandora" was an excellent suggestion. Then again, seeing "In Flux" posted at my place was neat too.

housewyfe = I love your blog...and I love it when it gets rowdy in comments too...thanks for the feedback...

guppyman - I assure you that if I posted nude pics of me, it would so DAZZLE you, that you would not be able to think of anything..so probably better not.

Dawn - thanks and like the avatar...

Sallybelle - if only those names did suit me *sigh*

Demosthenes - I love the Ancient Greeks too..but Diogenes was already taken...

Pink - wonderful suggestions - thank you so much...and offered with so much feeling too...

Layne - Thank you for teaching me something new...I never knew that about the Egyptians...

Stacy - how sweet of you to comment - welcome...

POSTSCRIPT

I have finally decided on Minerva - roman goddess of wisdom and strength, she showed a mirror to Medusa whose gaze turned me to stone, and it petrified Medusa. I would like to think of being able to vanquish my fears the same way...
