Have you checked

yourself today? Yesterday? This week? This month? This year? Have you asked your mother, your grandmother, your daughter, your granddaughter, your aunt, your niece or your best friend if they have checked themselves? If you have close relatives who have had breast cancer, have you all, male or female checked yourselves? If you are a mother or a father, a grandparent, an aunt or uncle have you taught someone younger how to check themselves?

If you don't know how, then learn how here...

Go on, do it, do it now, or if you are in public, do it tonight when you get home - do it in the shower, in the bath, in bed, just please, please, do it...and if you find something, call the doctor.

Please.... spread the word.

Let's have a positive point to Friday 13th....

Thanks for reminding me, Minerva. I don't do the check often enough, even though I found cysts when I was young.

What wonderful advice Minerva. Things like testicular cancer scare the balls off me. (Sorry, bad pun I know... but yeah, it's that serious.)

Thanks for fighting and continuing to raise awareness.

guys - do the doctor thing too (for all cancers - Minerva is correct about breast cancer). My late husband was symptom free of prostate cancer for what must have been years. These days, a simple test would have picked it up.

Minerva, thank you.

I got my first mammogram last week. It was totally boob pancake.

It really wasn't as bad as I expected, but it was weird to have a woman be all pulling on the breasts.

It's not as bad as everyone said it would be. I was glad for that. I'll be sure to send out a reminder too.
