News

News

Brace yourselves, this will be a shock.. As of today, as of this morning, I am cancer free. Yes, you did read that right. The CT scan showed No Sign of Disease otherwise known as NED.

I am crying with relief as I write this. I do not have cancer, but I have a future with my children, I have a career, I have a life.

Back when I have calmed down!

In exultation,

Minerva

Excellent... EXCELLENT news.

Over here from my good friend CQ's Blog.

I am *so* pleased for you!

Next day for me after the news and I am back. Wondering what the hell this has been all about and what trauma you have been through.

I don't for one minute think you ever misheard what had been said previously saying how the cancer had come back and was more vigourous, although that is a possibility for some people I think you have a more analytical mind that listens. So it comes down to being a miracle or else you had been told wrong.

And I was thinking if this had happened to me how I would feel.

With miracles one gives thanks.

But a part of me would end up flaming furious that I had been put through this and want answers as to how this can happen. I was also thinking it would be hard to know whether to be angry or whether to just shut up and be thankful I didn't have the cancer anymore.

So goodness knows how you are feeling and what you end up thinking about the whole situation. To go from a point of feeling you will never see your children grown and having families of their own and putting your affairs into order to one of being told it's all OK now and you have a life expectancy as much as anyone else.

Sending you lots of love Minerva for this wonderful and happy and incredible time. How far your feelings can be stretched I just don't know! ((Hugs))

That's great. My dad fought off cancer 15 years ago. At one point he was so sick we were planning his memorial service. Last week he celebrated his 65th birthday.
